Amazing ski movie, music by First Aid Kit

This is amazing to watch. From the depth of the creative visuals to the groundbreaking, never-been-done-before scale of the shoot, Afterglow is being hailed as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made. From Sweetgrass Productions.

Afterglow: Lightsuit Segment

AFTERGLOW a look at some of the world’s most talented skiers and their journey into darkness and light. From the wide expanse of day, darkness waits to fall across the brilliant snow. Stillness and solitude prevail until color and light alter the landscape of night into something other. Transforming all it touches and elevating the ordinary into the extraordinary.

First Aid Kit offer a lovely version of the song "All My Trials"

"All My Trials" was a folk song during the social protest movements of the 1950s and 1960s. It is based on a Bahamian lullaby that tells the story of a mother on her death bed, comforting her children, "Hush little baby, don't you cry./You know your mama's bound to die," because, as she explains, "All my trials, Lord,/Soon be over." The message — that no matter how bleak the situation seemed, the struggle would "soon be over" — propelled the song to the status of an anthem, recorded by many of the leading artists of the era.

Here the Swedish duo First Aid Kit offer a lovely version of the song. A rare bonus track from First Aid Kit's album ''The Big Black And The Blue''

First Aid Kit Cover of Buffy Sainte-Marie “Universal Soldier”

“Universal Soldier” is a great song off Buffy Sainte-Marie. This protest song was written in the early sixties by Buffy Sainte-Marie. It's about individual responsibility for war. First Aid Kit wanted to sing this song because, unfortunately, what Buffy sang about at her time is still is so true today and will probably be so for years to come. First Aid Kit changed the lyrics a bit to make it more relevant to today's society. Here the Swedish duo First Aid Kit offer a lovely version of the song.
